Hac: 7 ipuçları aldırmak için
08 Ağustos 2018

It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity, make the most of it by being prepared right.

`Abdullah ibn `Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) quoted the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) as saying:

“Islam has been built on five (pillars):

testifying that there is no god, but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah,

performing the prayers,

paying the zakah,

making the pilgrimage to the House, and fasting in Ramadan.”  (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

1. Learn its History:

Who, what, when, why and how – They’re all important to know. Study the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad (saw) and Prophet Ibrahim (as) before you go, feel a connection with the past. To perform to your best ability, the more you know the better you’ll carry your duties out. Learn the rules of Hajj and get yourself familiarized with the rites. Talk to people who have completed their Hajj and learn about their experience and things that you need to take to Makkah and Madinah. It’s vital to educate yourself about Hajj and Umrah before you go and familiarise yourself with a plan, so you know where you are going and what to do.

2. Have Sabr (Patience):

Master the characters of patience and tolerance. It’s all about Taqwa and Eman. Leave your temper and ego here and Keep reminding yourself of your intentions which must be wholly and exclusively to Allah. It’s going to be sweltering hot, there will be a lot of pushing and shoving, your feet will be in immense pain as there’s a lot of walking too. But it becomes all the more rewarding and full of blessings, as it’s all being done for the sake of Allah. Keep reminding yourself that. Be considerate and be compassionate with fellow Hajjis. Try to greet Muslims from other countries as much as you can. Hajj is the largest meeting for the Ummah.

3. Water Sprays and Sun Screens:

Have enough water to drink as well as to sprinkle yourself with it. A spray bottle is available to purchase from many stores (£1.75 from Boots!). It’s usefu; to spray it on your face and head while performing the tawaf around the Kabbah, jogging between safa and Marwa, .. Also, don’t forget to slab on the sunscreen, the sun is at its peak for long hours and its unavoidable. Protect your skin and health, and you will last longer and therefore, stay in ibadah with concentration and khushoo longer.

4. Memorise the Relevant Du’as:

You want the words slipping gracefully out of your tongue, you want it to be coming from your heart. Do not merely read from the books, instead do du’a from the heart.

You want to be sincere and for it to be heard and accepted. So, research and earn it. Study which dua is required to supplicate and duas you want to make of your own, for yourself, your family and the Muslims suffering around the world. Having the chance to stand at the Arafat again is questionable, don’t waste this opportunity!

5. Toilet Tactics:

It’s a nightmare, again, a test of patience. Not only are the queues the longest, its mainly consists of only squat/floor toilets at the Hajj sites. Wear loose dresses to avoid getting dirty, and have the garments tied tight during wudhu to avoid getting wet and damp. Also, take some basic medication such as paracetamol, plasters for blisters on the feet and diarrhoea medication.

6. Get fit:

Hajj consists the most exhausting activities, it’s physically demanding and much more elaborate. It’s heavily advised by everyone to be careful of what you eat and practice walking for 20-30 minutes per day. Eat light, drink tons, and work out. It’ll pay off for the long term.

7. Productivity:

Make every second count. That doesn’t mean tiring yourself out from avoiding sleep, no. Sleep well. But sleep at the right time – just after Isha till Tahajjud times. Or if you want to spend the night in worship in the coolness, sleep after the Fajr prayer till Zuhr. Let it be solid hours of sleep so the remaining day is filled with energy to keep you productive in Ibadah. Turn of the internet data on your phone – unplug and focus. Simply submit yourself to Allah. Use the time in the mosque to complete the recitation and the meaning of the Qur’an. When you’re around the kabbah, don’t take your eyes off it, acknowledge its beauty and significance and pray. Keep praying.
