Jamiat ul Ansar of Brampton

In 1990 a small and dedicated group of Muslims residing in the City of Brampton, embarked on the formation of a Jamaat. The focus of this group was to address the growing needs of families in the area. Their goal was to build an Islamic Center that would not just be used to offer prayers, but function as a community center with programs and activities for Muslim brothers and sisters of all ages, from children to the elderly. The group appointed a Board of Directors, lead by Haji Imam Mohamed Usuf, and a constitution was created and ratified. This constitution forms the basis of operations for the board of directors and executive committee of management, and is registered with the Province of Ontario.
