Ganges Restaurant was first started at this location in 1986. Over the year Ganges established a loyal following of people looking for great tasting vegetarian Indian food. In 2002, Ganges reemerged as New Ganges with enhanced menu combining the traditional preparation style with a new blend of spices. New Ganges is located two blocks from UCSF, corner of Frederick and Arguello.
